Sun Peaks January 5‑7, 2024

This is one or our most popular trips and this year we return to staying at the Sun Peaks resort, we are at the Sundance Lodge and Cahilty Lodge. The rooms have 2 queen beds for 2 people and are equipped with a fridge, microwave and coffeemaker.

On Friday, en route to Kamloops, we will ski Stake Lake Nordic Center where 60 kilometres of trails are groomed for classic and skate skiing. As an option, you can bring snowshoes to explore the 13 kilometres of picturesque snowshoe trails. A heated cabin provides a welcome break for lunch. You can also enjoy a snack break at one of the many shelters alongside the main trails.

Saturday and Sunday you can enjoy excellent cross-country trails, downhill ski slopes, as well as a multitude of shops and restaurant. Sun Peaks offers over 34 km of groomed trails for classic and skate skiing. Nordic tickets include a ride up the mountain on the Morrisey Express Chairlift, from where you can then glide down “Holy Cow” and ski to the McGillivray Lakes Outpost warming hut. If you’re a downhill skier, you can check out the 4270 hectares of terrain which extends across three mountains (the second largest downhill skiing site in Canada).
